Remi Bonnet is the current “big dog” of skimo and mountain running.
He just broke a 30-year-old record on the Pikes Peak Ascent, and his record on skis last year was pretty inconceivable, with 11 World Cup/World Champs starts, and NINE wins.
One of the things I like about Remi is that he’s a total homebody. He doesn’t race that much compared to a lot of the other big guns, because he likes to stay home and train and explore in his hometown of Charmey, Switzerland.
While surely is never going to be accused of being the biggest or loudest personality on the world’s stage, watching him go hard uphill is mindblowing.
